About the Role
In the position of Asia Energy Correspondent, your responsibilities will include:

- Monitoring the movement of physical oil cargoes between production and consumption centers
- Cultivating strong relationships with major companies involved in oil trading in Asia
- Breaking news on critical developments in crude markets and the regional energy sector
- Gaining a nuanced understanding of Asia's primary crude and fuel markets and key industry players
- Developing in-depth market expertise to recognize and report on pivotal market dynamics and trends
- Capable of expanding story formats beyond written content to include visuals and multimedia material as needed
- Collaborating closely with team members across the region and globally
About You
You are a fitting candidate for the role of Asia Energy Correspondent if you bring:
- Minimum of three years of experience reporting on energy markets or a solid background covering other commodity markets
- Proven ability to deliver breaking news promptly and accurately
- Sound editorial judgement and adeptness in writing quickly, clearly, and precisely
- A track record of producing long-form articles
- An extensive network within the Asian energy sector and the drive to proactively engage with industry insiders to expand this network
- Proficiency in data management and analysis
- Outstanding written English skills; familiarity with Chinese is advantageous for covering the Chinese markets
