Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams to achieve project objectives.Reviewing construction plans and preparingquantity requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed cost estimates and prepare comprehensive budgets for construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to identify potential cost savings opportunities and value engineering solutions.
  • Evaluate contractor bids and proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure alignment with project requirements and budgetary constraints.
  • Monitor project costs and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle, tracking variations, change orders, and other cost implications.
  • Prepare accurate and timely progress payment applications, invoices, and payment certifications, in accordance with contractual agreements and payment schedules.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to assess project progress, resolve cost-related issues, and mitigate risks.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress, verify quantities, and ensure compliance with contractual specifications and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project cost reports, cost forecasts, and financial projections, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Manage contract administration processes, including document control, submittals, approvals, and closeout procedures.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting construction costs and procurement practices.
  • Documenting any changes in design andupdating budgets.
  • Liasing with Site Managers,Clients Contratorsand Sub Contractors.
  • Preparing reports, analysis, contracts budgets,risk assessment and other documents.
  • Travelling from the office to various sites as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in quantity surveying or related roles within the construction industry.
  • Strong proficiency in quantity surveying software tools , as well as MS Excel and other relevant software applications.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams, managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all aspects of quantity surveying practice.
