About the role

  • Develop real-time embedded software for consumer products using different silicon platforms, primarily ARM based.
  • Engage in reviewing and analyzing product/system requirements, conducting feasibility studies, and proving concepts.
  • Contribute to software architecture, high-level design, and enhancing robust solutions to tackle technical challenges within project structures.
  • Responsible for detailed design, coding, and testing of software at various levels.
  • Contribute to setting up continuous integration environments.
  • Proactively identify and address technical risks in projects, influencing engineering teams towards resolution.
  • Drive best practices and process enhancements within the software team and broader RDD function.

About you

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Engineering or similar field.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in software development involving requirement analysis, architecture, design, coding, and testing of embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, UML, Python.
  • Experience in real-time embedded software engineering, such as FreeRTOS.
  • Strong understanding of MCU/MPU architecture and common peripherals.
  • Familiarity with configuring and using sensor devices via I2C, SPI, UART with DMA.
  • Knowledge of on and off-target test harnesses like Ceedling, Behave, etc.
  • Understanding of software development life cycles (Agile) and basics of electronics hardware interfacing with software systems.
  • Proficient in embedded development tools, configuration management tools, and concepts.
  • Exposure to the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) would be beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Additional advantageous experiences include Bluetooth Low Energy protocols, knowledge of wireless protocols, and familiarity with technologies like WiFi, NFC, ZigBee, and more.
  • Knowledge of software security, LabVIEW, and Linux-based embedded systems is a plus.
