About your team
The Portfolio Services Group support portfolio managers with the operational management of their funds.
The team is part of the broader Investment Operations department which supports Investment Management functions within Equity, Fixed Income, Solutions & Multi Asset, Currency Management and Derivative Operations.
About your role
In this role you will support portfolio managers with their pre-trade operational needs, as well as supporting the trade order workflow between portfolio manager and trade execution desk.
You will:
- Generate trades in line with portfolio manager instructions across a variety of equity securities.
- Monitor portfolio cash balances for cash events, such as client flows & corporate actions, which will prompt the need for trading.
- Monitoring of pretrade compliance, where necessary engaging Investment Compliance, and resolving with portfolio managers to ensure portfolios remain within their guidelines.
- Participating in change projects such as fund launches, closures, mergers etc to represent the portfolio manager, including delivering the project to execution.
- Work alongside a broad spectrum of teams across investment, product development and operations to deliver the best products for our clients.
- Proactively manage the needs and requests of portfolio managers balancing scalability and risk considerations.
- Work on technology transformation programs, and recommend workflow improvements in daily processes.
You will bring the following capabilities and experience:
- Spoken and written Japanese.
- Experience related to investment operations.
- Understanding of risk management.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, strong focus on detail & accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and multitask.
