Job Title: Pediatric Doctor

Reports to: Head of Medical

Position Summary:

My client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Doctor to join the team in Singapore. The Pediatric Doctor will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to children from infancy through adolescence, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care:
    • Diagnose and treat a wide range of pediatric illnesses and conditions.
    • Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of pediatric patients.
    • Prescribe and administer treatments, medications, and vaccinations.
    • Provide preventive care and health education to patients and their families.
  • Medical Procedures:
    • Perform minor surgical procedures and assist with more complex surgeries.
    • Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures (e.g., blood tests, X-rays).
    • Monitor and document patients progress and response to treatment.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide clear and compassionate guidance.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Emergency Care:
    • Provide urgent and emergency medical care to pediatric patients as needed.
    • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to pediatric emergencies.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical medical practices.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
  • Professional Development:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pediatric medicine.
    • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities, conferences, and workshops.
    • Mentor and supervise junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education:
    • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
    • Completed residency training in Pediatrics.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pediatric medicine
  • Skills:
    • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
    • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
    • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Certifications:
    • Board certification in Pediatrics.
    • Valid medical license to practice in Singapore.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS) certification.
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position.
  • Hospital environment with shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
