The Research Associate position involves primary research, focusing on engaging with fund managers in the Asia Pacific region to establish relationships and gather valuable proprietary data. This includes details on investment activities, preferences, fundraising, and performance. It's a unique research role that requires a sales-oriented mindset to foster research relationships across the region. Responsibilities also include handling data inquiries, ensuring quality control, monitoring data consistency, and engaging with clients on our Preqin Pro platform. This role is based in Singapore.


What You'll Be Doing:
  • Proactively building relationships with key professionals in the alternative assets industry to gather proprietary data on investment activities and performance
  • Conducting face-to-face meetings with fund managers in APAC to collect fundraising and performance data
  • Performing custom statistical analysis for clients
  • Collaborating with teams in North America and EMEA, as well as other departments, to deliver solutions
  • Assisting senior leaders on research projects and regional strategy for data enhancement
  • Contributing to research reports, blogs, and publications as needed

What You'll Bring to Us:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2 years of relevant industry experience
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach to relationship building
  • Strong research skills and investigative instincts
  • Ability to work effectively in a target-driven environment
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and collaborative
  • Regional knowledge of the private capital industry and alternative assets
  • Previous experience in communication and relationship management
