Position Overview


Due to our global expansion plans, we are now looking for a Senior / Tax Manager to be based in our International Tax Centre in Singapore, who has strong interests in building his/her career in a fast-growing internet business.

Serving as an international tax affairs business partner, he/she would be providing and implementing tax advice to the businesses as well as managing tax operations to ensure compliance with all tax reporting obligations at a regional to a global level.


  • Oversee tax compliance activities within the Group, including collaboration with the local finance on tax return preparation, filing and payment as well as managing status of local tax audits and dispute resolution proceedings
  • Review and analyze complicated tax issues arising from business transactions and development proposals including tax research and issue identification, advise tax exposure and recommend alternative solutions for mitigation
  • Review business agreements and contracts which involved cross border transactions
  • Develop and recommend taxefficient and sustainable structures to meet the business objectives and ensure tax and regulatory compliance
  • Liaise with external advisors for corporate tax matters
  • Work closely with peers in headquarter tax team, Legal, HR and Business Units
  • Report the status and progress of adhoc projects to management regularly

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Finance, Accounting or other tax compliance related majors, with any of the recognised Chartered Accountant (CA) memberships
  • At least 8 years of relevant corporate tax experience within Internet / hightech industry or wellestablished tax firms with global presence. Additional relevant experience in other jurisdictions is a plus
  • Familiar with double tax treaties, crossborder structuring, corporate restructuring, and international corporate compliance system in the marketplace
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; willing to share ideas and knowledge within the team
  • Possess strong analytical, consulting, and presentation skill with outspoken character
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and pressure
