We're Hiring

Furen International School is searching for full-time student mentors who are passionate about supporting teenagers through their school life journey. If you enjoy helping students smoothly integrate into school life, then you might be the perfect fit for us.

You should ideally have:

  • A degree, preferably in counseling or psychology; or
  • A diploma with relevant work experience (part-time or volunteer); and
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese; Maturity and the ability to communicate effectively with Chinese parents

About the position

  • Coordination Duties: Manage attendance and disciplinary cases in collaboration with student services, discipline master, academic department, and hostel staff. Facilitate communication with external counselors if needed.
  • Student Support: Conduct daily counseling sessions for students dealing with various issues like course transfers, grievances, and feedback. Guide students on well-being and academic concerns.
  • Parental Consultations: Engage in daily counseling sessions with parents via face-to-face or digital tools like WeChat and Zoom. Keep parents informed about students' progress in school and hostel.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Create counseling reports, perform feedback and reviews, conduct detailed analysis for informed evaluations.
  • Administrative duties: Support the student mentor department with thorough documentation, reports, and other assigned tasks by the supervisor.
  • Availability for Emergency Situations: Be prepared to address urgent feedback from parents and students outside office hours, including weekends, demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive student support.
