What the role is

  • You will be part of the team that map the sustainability strategy for arts organisations and Self-Employed Persons (SEPs), and work with key government agencies to enable the sector to develop new business models. The team also drives the culture sector's transformation by enabling artists and arts companies to use digitalisation as part of sustainability plans, including driving administration efficiency, enhancing service delivery and strengthening income generation with the monetisation of digital content. The team also develop a capability development strategy for SEPs, including training pathways, while addressing current shortterm employment challenges and work with partners like Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) on support initiatives.

What you will be working on

  • Support the formulation and implementation of strategies, policies and programmes in collaboration with sector partners and stakeholders, to drive technology innovation in the arts sector
  • Support department's initiatives which entail strategic and policy planning and stakeholder engagement, and coordinating interagency/crosssectoral collaborations in technologyrelated work.
  • Drive and execute administrative and programme management responsibilities that support the department's technology innovation projects, including vendor, stakeholder and partnership management, contract management, procurement and payment processing, logístical set up for events and engagement sessions, publicity and marketing efforts, coordination tasks related to meetings, scheduling, preparation of reports, presentations, meeting materials and data management, and assisting with budget reports.
  • Conduct horizon scanning, benchmarking and research to support the development and evaluation of strategies, policies and programmes related to arts and technology innovation efforts.
  • Communicate and liaise with internal and external partners in the arts and adjacent sectors, as well as private sector partners (e.g. tech partners, vendors, startups to deliver the above outcomes.

What we are looking for

  • A good, relevant degree
  • 13 years of relevant working experience
  • Interest and/or experience in the arts and technology, and knowledge of technologies like augmented and/or virtual reality (ARVR) and interest in new technology trends and how they can drive new areas of growth
  • Good project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multitask and work independently
  • Ability to excavate and nurture network of partnerships to drive technology innovation in the arts
  • Able to manage and interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Good interpersonal skills and resourceful
  • Good with Microsoft software including PowerPoint, Word and Excel, social media and digital communication platforms for public engagement and outreach
