Based in the Department of Student Services, this position calls for a team player who has passion, personality and professional skills to interact with young persons and fellow staff members to enhance wellness in the school community.


Responsibilities

  • Provide counselling support for students with psychological, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties so that they achieve their personal growth
  • Work closely with academic staff to guide them in providing appropriate support for students with psychological, emotional and behavioural challenges
  • Coordinate resources from within and outside school in order to support students
  • Conduct and coordinate training and talks for students and staff in the area of mental health to increase mental health literacy and expand peer support network
  • Pilot and implement initiatives to promote mental wellness
  • Perform administrative duties to support multiple mental health initiatives and outreach

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in counselling, psychology, social work, or related disciplines
  • Passion in working with young persons
  • Experience in using digital tools for counselling support
  • Relevant experience in conducting training to adults and youths would be an advantage
  • Ability to remain calm and work under stressful situations
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills, both in speaking and writing

This will be a project-based appointment and successful appointee will be placed on contract.
