Role Summary:
Contribute to Treasury Management by developing foreign exchange and interest rate strategies.

In this role that you are about to embark on, you are required to carry out the following responsibilities:

  • Analysing, proposing and executing appropriate FX and Interest Rate hedging activities
  • Develop an indepth understanding of each country and currency which the Group has exposure in, relying on research sources and various business publications from external parties
  • Be able to produce regular market commentary about the forex and rates market and the economic and political issues that affect currency values and interest rates
  • Keep abreast of financial market events and uptodate on any new currency and interest rate hedging instruments and strategies
  • Contribute to Treasury discussions regarding foreign exchange and interest rate strategies
  • Contribute to improving Treasury's approach to fundamental research and risk management
  • Other duties that may be assigned by Treasury Management

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Good Degree in Banking and Finance/ Business Administration
  • Preferably minimum 10 years working experience in banks/corporate Treasury. Experience in Spot/Forward FX, Swaps, NDF and Options would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient in fundamental and technical analysis
  • Good knowledge of statistical packages, Reuters and Bloomberg
  • Numerate and well skilled in MS suite of programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong team player with positive attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible, sharp, responsive and can work under pressure
