The Position

We are currently looking for a Senior Engineer Piping (Valve) to join BW Offshore. This position is for an 18-month contract term and will be located in our Singapore office.

You are responsible for

  • Lead all phases of Projects from concept development to completion
  • Design the FPSO, including overseeing piping tasks and technical aspects
  • Prepare 2D and/or 3D layouts using company software
  • Review piping and equipment layout documents, drawings, and 3D models
  • Maintain knowledge of piping codes and standards such as ASME, DIN, NORSOK, etc.
  • Ensure design compliance with regulatory, class, client, and corporate requirements
  • Develop material take-off and cost input for Piping and Layout discipline
  • Contribute to the master equipment list
  • Perform piping stress analysis
  • Coordinate, plan, and schedule Piping and Layout activities
  • Drive the development of RFQ's for various yards and equipment packages
  • Review vendor documentation for project compliance
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines
  • Support project teams and offshore units
  • Mentor new employees and colleagues

Education And Experience

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience can substitute formal education
  • At least 10 years of experience in the shipping and offshore industry
  • Minimum 3-5 years of FPSO industry experience
