We are looking for aResearch Engineer to develop, implement, and oversee techniques andsystems in Trust Technology and related areas such as privacy,security and blockchain, which are important components of digitaltrust platforms. The role will focus on emerging technologies thatengenders trust and espouse the values of fairness, safety, andprivacy in digital technologies.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Conduct researchinto trust technologies testing - translating algorithms, tools,and frameworks into working prototypes that can explain howresearch outputs can be productised into newcapabilities.
  • Work closely with Centre'sresearchers to design and develop system implementation work fromresearch into the product.
  • Design and buildworking tools that can support the technology transfer of newcapabilities to research partners and can be used to showcase thevalue of a given research outcome.
  • Write andmaintain technical documentation, presentations, and papers onresearch into trust technologies testing, helping to educate andraise the overall competency in emerging areas of trusttechnologies.
  • Engage global partners andresearchers to understand latest trends and advance Singapore'smindshare in thisdomain.


JobRequirements:
  • Bachelor's degree incomputer science/ engineering or relatedfield
  • Proficiency in Python is a must.Experience with other programming languages such as Java, C/C++, orGo, and frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, is highlyadvantageous.
  • Proficiency in working withcommon Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS) and familiaritywith shell scripting and command-linetools.
  • Experienced in developing and deployingmachine learning models, with a focus on natural languageprocessing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs). Skilled in datapreprocessing, feature extraction, model training, and evaluation.Strong understanding of machine learning and deep learningtechniques, including knowledge graphs, machine unlearning, and AItesting. Proficient with version control (e.g., Git) andcollaborative tools. Expertise in end-to-end ML system development,covering data exploration, feature engineering, and modeltraining/evaluation. Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP,Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and best practicesin software engineering.
  • Interpersonal skill(e.g. Keen attention to detail and commitment to high-qualitydeliverables. understanding of ethical considerations and bestpractices in AI research, particularly concerning data privacy andsecurity.)
  • Ability to communicate complextechnical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technicalstakeholders, bridging the gap between research and practicalapplication.
  • Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills, with a focus on developing innovativesolutions for LLMs. Self-motivated and able to work independently,managing multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.Strong collaborative skills, with experience working incross-functional teams.
