Roles & Responsibilities

Position overview:

Transit Energy (TE) delivers extraordinary value by navigating complexity, simplifying and accelerating decision-making for all players in the Energy sector. The company does this through the application of multiple state-of-the-art technologies, grounded in industry data and reservoir physics, delivering audit-quality results for a fraction of the time and cost of traditional methods.

At a portfolio level, proven advanced analytics enable swift modelling of any (e.g. global, competitor) portfolios (by value, returns, reserves, carbon, etc.), increasing the agility & effectiveness of portfolio decisions.

At an asset level, a suite of >800 proprietary algorithms and automated workflows enable rapid & comprehensive, fully probabilistic techno-commercial screening & optimization of any asset, from a well/completion level all the way up to portfolio level.

TE’s predictive models for undrilled acreage in tight reservoirs is totally unique and radically improves robustness of forecasts for future unconventional developments.

TE advise all stakeholders involved in the Energy sector across a wide variety of applications. This includes portfolio strategy, accelerated techno-commercial screening or DD of client assets/portfolios to quantify detailed value (e.g. to support acquisitions & divestments, financing, non-operator reviews), risk & performance improvement potential; M&A & portfolio management advisory; reserve & production audits; regulatory design & management.

TE is looking for at least one Analyst to be based in Singapore. The Analyst will play a key role in the delivery of consulting engagements and will support further development of the business.

Typical responsibilities will include:

· Delivery of Advisory / Consulting Engagements: Demonstrates a broad understanding of the client’s issues, effectively structuring problems, gathering and cleansing data, applying TE’s proprietary analytical tools, synthesising insights and generating final outputs.

· Business Development: Supports activities to develop opportunities through existing & new client relationships.

· Development of Intellectual Capital: Works with the leadership team to identify, design, test & roll-out new functionality and improvements to TE’s existing IP. Supports development of points of view / articles, utilising TE’s capabilities to generate new and relevant insights for its clients and the Energy Industry.

· Client Interactions: Acts as a credible advisor to client team members, preparing and delivering written and oral communications for client discussions, demonstrating maturity and impeccable professionalism.

· Team Interactions: Effectively prioritises own tasks and ensures quality of own deliverables,

demonstrates adaptability in working style, a positive attitude and willingness to help.

Skills Required

Experience in the Energy / Oil & Gas sectors is a key requirement, with a demonstrable passion for solving complex executive-level problems, and application of analytics.

The following core consulting skills are expected:

· Problem-solving: structuring, issue identification, data gathering and analysis, synthesis, and recommendation development

· Business judgement, including understanding of client organisations and dynamics

· People skills, maturity and empathy, and ability to work sensitively and effectively within a consulting team across multiple cultural contexts

· Demonstrated leadership potential and drive

· Basic knowledge of the Energy Industry and Upstream E&P issues, processes, and technologies

· Good knowledge of advanced analytics (descriptive, predictive & prescriptive) and its potential applications in a strategic context within the Energy Industry

· Proficiency in Business Information software (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), ArcGIS and Matlab

· Coding experience in Python

· Strong, well-structured communication skills, both written and oral, including in English

· Ability and willingness to travel and/or work across multiple time zones as required

Experience Required

At least 1 placement within the upstream energy team of an international business consulting firm or known oil and gas operator is required. Examples of project experience using analytics to solve real world issues are also expected.

Qualifications Required

A minimum of bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering is required.
