The successful candidate will have astrong background in inorganic chemistry, materials science, andmaterials physics, and will work collaboratively across disciplinesto advance renewable energy technologies and support NTU's missionfor a sustainable global impact.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Developand implement advanced synthesis techniques, including sol-gel,solvothermal, and nanoparticle synthesis, to create novel inorganicphotoabsorbers.
  • Conduct comprehensiveexperimental studies to optimize the properties of chalcohalidematerials for use in solar cells and photoelectrochemicalcells.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teammembers to integrate and apply novel photoabsorbers inoptoelectronic applications.
  • Utilize advancedcharacterization methods such as XRD, SEM, EQE, and PL to analyzematerial properties.
  • Supervise and mentorjunior research staff and students, guiding their projects andresearch efforts.
  • Maintain thoroughdocumentation of research findings and contribute to scientificreports and publications.
  • Support andfacilitate research collaborations with other faculties andresearchers.


JobRequirements:
  • Ph.D. ininorganic chemistry, materials science, or a related field, with aminimum of 4-5 years of relevant research experience, including thePh.D. study period.
  • Proven experience indeveloping and formulating chemical synthesis routes forsemiconductors.
  • Expertise in semiconductorfabrication and characterization techniques (e.g., XRD, SEM, EQE,PL).
  • Knowledge and experience with solarharvesting devices, such as solar cells and photoelectrochemicalcells, is advantageous.
  • Strong track record ofresearch achievements, including publications, grants, orpatents.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, withthe ability to work effectively in a diverse, international, andinterdisciplinary environment.
  • Demonstratedinitiative in process improvement, problem-solving, and projectmanagement.
  • Exceptional English communicationskills, both written and verbal, and the ability to workindependently with minimalsupervision.
