Job Description of Accounts Executive (Payable):

  • Match and process invoices from suppliers with supporting documents to ensure that all payment conditions have been met with proper documentation and authorisation.
  • Ensure invoices from suppliers/staff claims are recorded accurately and timely into the financial system
  • Check that invoices/expenses are properly authorised and process payment when due.
  • Recognise expenses in a timely, consistent basis in-line with accounting treatment and tax compliance
  • Ensure compliance with internal polices and accounting standards.
  • Attend to all queries to update payment status or clarify discrepancies so that payments can be made timely.
  • Explain and clarify policies or procedures to aid users in their purchasing activities and financial management.
  • Maintain proper filing and safekeeping of documents, payment records, and transactional data for inspection and internal/external audit.
  • Assist to streamline Accounts Payable processes.
  • Assist with all periodical financial closing and audits.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Accounting Diploma or equivalent professional qualification
  • 2 - 3 years finance experience, preferably in similar position
  • Proactive team player who is meticulous and self-motivated
  • A keen eye for details & excellent follow ups
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Able to handle pressure and work within tight deadline
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate articulately and efficiently
