Roles & Responsibilities

The Head of Marketing & Communications will develop and execute strategic marketing and communication plans across all channels to increase the visibility, credibility, engagement, and audience growth for the Asian Tour and Asian Development Tour.


This role will lead all marketing, performance marketing, public relations, and communications efforts, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and objectives. We are looking for someone to drive brand marketing, delivering meaningful moments and campaigns that elevate our profile and oversee performance marketing to accomplish ambitious growth KPIs.


The Head of Marketing & Communications is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, leading a team of inhouse managers and suppliers and collaborating with the senior management team across events and operations:

  • Strategy (Planning & Execution), Budget Setting (P&L) & Reporting (Board).
  • Team Leadership, Setting KPIs & Team Management.
  • x3 inhouse Staff & Suppliers / Agencies.
  • Brand Definition/Vision & Messaging, including Brand Campaigns (20 Years).
  • Liaison with Asian Tour Senior Management, Asian Tour Media & Tour Stakeholders (including players, promoters, LIV & partners).
  • Support the commercial teams to ensure rights and benefits are delivered and executed through Asian Tour digital channels.
  • Acting Head of Content (Creation & Distribution).
  • Digital Strategy & Leadership (Social Media, Website & App).
  • Lead and implement the Asian Tour digital strategy which will include taking ownership of all digital products including website, APP and new OTT platform.
  • Fan Engagement Strategy & Management (Event-level & Digital).
  • Overseeing Data Insights & Evaluation (Fans, Media, Engagement, KPIs).
  • Marketing Initiatives & Campaigns.
  • Global, Regional & Local PR, Media Relations Strategy & Execution.
  • Partner Activation & Commercialisation Press Services & Operations.
  • Develop CSR & Sustainability Strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate values and societal impact goals.
  • Oversee the coordination of CSR initiatives across departments and regions, promoting community engagement and sustainability.

We are seeking an experienced professional who is hungry for the opportunity to develop a world class marketing and communications function as part of a global leader in one of the world’s biggest sports. The candidate should be quietly confident, self-motivated, customer-focussed and target-driven.

The ideal candidate should have a core set of skills:


Requirements:

● At least 10 years of experience in a Marketing Communications role.

● A proven track record in leading and developing marketing and communications functions, strategies and teams at a senior level, ideally within sports rights holders. and/or key Asian markets.

● Knowledge of the media, publishing and sports industry, ideally with established relationships in these circles.

● Deep experience across numerous marketing and communications roles, particularly in developing and growing digital platforms, building and commercialising fan bases at events through multiple communications channels and defining strong brands.

● Passion for content and storytelling, who can act as Head of Content, guiding and controlling content creation and distribution.

● Experience across both the technical and the creative side of marketing.

● Successful roles in leading teams, developing talent and managing suppliers and agencies.

● Experience working in a cross-border, multicultural, fast-paced environment is preferred.

● Well versed in collaborating with and reporting to senior organisational stakeholders and wider partners, especially with Boards, C-Suite executives, promoters and sponsors.

● Strong writing, editing, verbal presentation and organisational skills.

● An enthusiasm for and interest in sport, media and entertainment.

● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

● Willing to travel often and ability to work effectively on the road.

● An understanding of the golfing landscape, and the challenges and opportunities facing the Asian Tour.

● Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations or similar fields.
