Responsibilities Thejob holder is expected to make useful contributions to fulfil theUniversity's vision and mission. Specifically, the candidate isexpected to: - Develop and lead an innovative research programme ofinternational quality - Publish high quality papers in reputablepeer-reviewed journals - Secure competitive research grants anddevelop research programmes - Supervise research personnel -Contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduateand postgraduate levels - Supervise undergraduate and graduatestudents undertaking research projects. - Undertake administrativeand/or leadership roles. - Contribute to other service-relatedactivities assigned by School and University. - Contribute toprofessional services

Requirements Candidates with the followingqualifications are encouraged to apply: - A Ph.D degree inElectrical Engineering or in a relevant discipline with anoutstanding scholarship record and a strong commitment toexcellence in research and teaching. - Extensive knowledge ofwithin his/her fields of research - Ability and strong drive tolead and contribute to inter-disciplinary research and large-scaleprojects for key applications - Evidence of a developinginternational reputation in his/her field of research, for examplefellowships, awards, invited presentations at internationalconferences, journal editorships or otherwise. - Established trackrecord of academic publications of international quality. - Proventrack record of securing funding as Co-I or leadinvestigator.
