They should also demonstrate strong ability for effectiveundergraduate and graduate level teaching. Candidates must havevision and an interest in defining the research frontier as well aseducating our next generation of young leaders in this rapidlyevolving field. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability tocombine theoretical knowledge with practical development ofcomputational solutions and systems.

Theposition is open for candidates working in all areas of computerscience and engineering. However, we are particularly interested incandidates working at the frontiers of the following high priorityarea:
  • Cybersecurity, Cryptography andDigitalTrust


Responsibilities:
  • Research:The appointee is responsible for conducting high-quality innovativeresearch, publishing top-tier papers, securing competitive researchgrants, and supervising researchpersonnel.
  • Teaching: The appointee is expectedto conduct competent undergraduate and graduate level teaching,including development of course materials, delivery of lectures andtutorials, grading assignments and exam papers, providing feedbackto students, and academic supervision of undergraduate and graduatestudent projects.
  • Service: The appointee isexpected to undertake responsibly assigned administrative servicesin the school and university, such as servicing on committees andmentoring students.


Requirements:
  • Youshould possess a PhD in related disciplines from a well-recognizeduniversity.
  • You have demonstrated exceptionalpromise for or a proven record of research achievements within thechosen field of research and strong ability for effectiveundergraduate and graduate level teaching
  • Youare able to lead and work as part of a multidisciplinaryteam
  • You are able to supervise research staffand students through effectivecommunication
  • You should ideally possess strongpresentation skills
