Roles & Responsibilities

Contract Period:

  • 24 Mar 2025 to 23 Nov 2025 (8 Months)

Deployment:

  • Mon to Fri: 7.30 am to 2.30 pm (incl. 1 hr lunch break)
  • Saturdays: Service may be required based on school calendar up to a maximum of 4 Saturdays. Off in lieu will be granted accordingly.
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
  • Working arrangement/working hours may be subject to change to meet school operational needs.

Scope of Works:

Canteen Management:

  • Monitor student behaviour during recess and lunch periods
  • Ensure orderly queuing and seating arrangements
  • Encourage proper etiquette and cleanliness
  • Assist students with any issues or concerns in the canteen
  • Ensure students clear their plates and utensils and dispose of waste properly
  • Ensure students head back to class in a timely manner


Unstructured Play Supervision

  • Maintain a visible presence in designated areas during break times
  • Ensure student safety and appropriate behaviour
  • Intervene in conflicts or disciplinary issues as needed
  • Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to relevant staff

Additional Responsibilities

  • Supervise and maintain orderliness during Self-Directed Learning periods
  • Assist with general student management duties throughout the school
  • Conduct regular patrols of school premises and nearby areas
  • Address uniform and grooming issues
  • Support school events and activities as required
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff on student management matters
  • Maintain records of significant incidents or recurring issues

Security and Safety

  • Assist with review of school CCTV system during assigned shift

Administrative Support

  • Assist Internal Assessment Committee with escort duties during examinations Provide administrative and technical support as required
  • During HBL days and school holidays, officers will be attached to the School Admin Team and/or School Operations Team to assist with administrative tasks and operational duties as assigned.


Requirement:

  • Minimum Diploma in any discipline; preferably from a local polytechnic (those without a diploma and with relevant experience and expertise may also apply)
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Good planning, analytical and communication skills.
  • To work with external agencies like MHA, the Police, CNB, the Court, MCYS, Voluntary Welfare Organisation (VWOs) and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) (when required)
  • Able to communicate and work with teenagers and parents
  • Able to manage teenagers with good child psychology
  • Able to manage and provide information and data to Discipline department and School Operations.
  • Basic proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
  • A dynamic and motivated individual with good organising abilities, interpersonal skills.
