Project & Process Engineer (Project Management I Chemical Plant I Jurong Island)

Job Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage project scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Oversee equipment installation, and commissioning.
- Prepare detailed progress reports, technical documentation, and presentations for key stakeholders.
- Review, update and approve technical drawings, PFDs, and P&IDs for plant modifications.
- Manage changes in project scope, budget, or timeline, ensuring any changes are well-documented and communicated to all stakeholders.
- Work as process engineers to optimize plant design and process flow.
- Performing process reviews and recommend improvements to increase capacity / efficiency / consistency / reliability.
- Coordinate all plant improvement and modification activities.
- Ensure all projects comply with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments (HAZOP, LOPA) and implement safety improvements.
- Work closely with EHS teams to maintain high safety standards.
- Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Review technical proposals and negotiate contracts.
- Track project costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop commissioning plans and oversee plant startup activities.
- Make recommendation for any corrective measure needed to optimize plant operation.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering with 5 years of experience in engineering project management within the specialty chemicals, petrochemical, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of chemical plant design, construction, and process equipment.
- Experience with project management tools (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.).
- Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools (2D AutoCAD).
