A Research Officer position is available in Dr. AnandAndiappan Lab at the Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN). The ROposition is to support the research work of the team that focuseson studying the role of immune system in eczema and allergies. Thecandidate will work on primary cells from cohorts and cell culturesystems towards understanding immune pathophysiology of disease.Additional work involves cellular and stimulation assays with flowcytometry and FACS analysis along with imaging by confocalmicroscopy, and associated data analysis with statisticaltested.

Job Duties:
  • Managing safety in thelab
  • Creating SOPs and lab riskassessments
  • Maintaining labinventories
  • Perform other lab administrativeduties and operations such as ordering and tracking labbudget
  • Experience with human and mouseblood/tissue sample handling and processing (e.g. isolation ofspecific immune cell population) and knowledge of immune cellbiology is encouraged
  • Experience with flowcytometry analysis for different immune cell population andfunctional immune assays will be anadvantage

JobRequirements:
  • Degreein Immunology, Life sciences, Biomedical sciences, MolecularBiology, Biotechnology or equivalent
  • Preferably with experience in molecular biologytechniques, immunology, cancer cell biology, cell culture and flowcytometry
  • Precise, detailed-oriented and ableto follow complex protocols
  • Willing to learnnew experimental procedures and troubleshoot assays
  • Good team player with good interpersonalskills
  • Good spoken and written communicationskills
  • Candidates are expected to be highlymotivated to work in research and able to perform tasksindependently.
