We are a speech andlanguage technology research group situated under CCDS, NTU. Thegroup was established since 2007 and has since focused on machinelearning and deep learning approaches in speech and languagetechnologies. Our research interests include but not limited toAutomatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Classification and SpeechUnderstanding.

The College of Computing &Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position ofResearch Associate.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Developspeech input framework to support speech acquisition under noisyand far-field condition.
  • Investigate recentmachine learning techniques and speechtechnologies.
  • Research and develop algorithmsfor speech enhancement, speaker diarization, robust VAD, and targetspeaker extraction.
  • Design, implement,evaluate, and deploy of speech enhancement, speaker diarization,VAD, and target speaker extractionmodules.
  • Collaborate with team members andstakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones anddeliverables.
  • Organize, document and transferdeveloped software packages to other team members and/or fundingbodies.


JobRequirements:
  • Master'sDegree in Computer Science/Engineering or relatedfields.
  • Good expertise in speech technologiessuch as speaker diarization, speech enhancement, robust VAD,speaker extraction, ASR, natural language processing and deeplearning applications.
  • Experience in developingand evaluating algorithms in the field of speechtechnology.
  • Familiarity with data collectionprocesses and management for speech processingtasks.
  • Proficiency in the following programminglanguages and frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Kaldi, orsimilar.
