Role Overview:
The Associate Psychologist Intern is an invaluable member of our team, designed for individuals pursuing or who have completed a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology. This internship offers hands-on experience in a professional mental health setting, providing an opportunity to develop skills in client interaction, clinic administration, and holistic mental wellness practices.


Key Responsibilities:Client Screening and Triage:

  • Conduct initial client intake through structured interviews or pre-session questionnaires to gather relevant information.
  • Perform triage to assess the urgency and complexity of client needs, determining priority levels for scheduling and services.
  • Identify cases requiring immediate attention, such as crisis intervention or potential risks, and escalate them to senior counsellors or psychologists promptly.
  • Refer clients to appropriate in-house services (psychology, yoga, or nutrition).
  • Maintain detailed and confidential records of the triage process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection standards.

Customer/Client Services:

  • Provide empathetic support to clients, addressing inquiries and guiding them through the clinic’s services.
  • Ensure a warm and welcoming experience for all clients, both in person and virtually.

Receptionist Duties:

  • Manage appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and rescheduling efficiently.
  • Handle incoming calls and correspondence professionally and confidentially.

Clinic Administrative Support:

  • Maintain accurate and organized client records in compliance with confidentiality protocols.
  • Assist in preparing materials for workshops, seminars, and therapy sessions.
  • Coordinate with the psychology, yoga, and nutrition teams for smooth clinic operations.

Professional Development:

  • Attend regular team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to enhance understanding of clinical and holistic wellness practices.
  • Engage in research or project work as assigned to support ongoing client care or clinic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or having completed a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centered mindset.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in administrative tools, including scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Organized, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Prior experience or coursework in psychology or mental health settings.
  • Interest in holistic mental wellness approaches.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
