Job title: Cabin Baggage Officer

Reporting to: Duty Manager (PAX) and Passenger Service Specialist (PSS)

Grade: GE 3 – 4


Overall Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Duty Manager, Passenger services (DM, PAX) and Passenger Service Specialist (PSS), you are responsible to ensure the safe limit of hand carry baggage is complied by passengers and charge for any excessive hand carry baggage.


Duties & Responsibilities:

· Comb all flights at the check-in area and gates to look out of excessive hand carry baggage by passengers

· Weigh the hand carry baggage of the passenger to ensure it is within the authorized limits

· Communicate to passengers the safety requirement of hand carry baggage limits

· Charge for excessive hand carry baggage

· Process order and payment on hand held device issued by airline

· Process documentation for departing passengers according to set procedures and handle the passengers in a polite and friendly manner

· Ensure the Sales tally against the transactions by the end of the shift

· Ensure all records and documentation are kept in good order and handed over to the DM, PAX or PSS at Sales Desk

· Adhere strictly to the grooming guidelines and be customer-centric

· Ensure each transaction is carried out swiftly and efficiently for flight to depart punctually

· In compliance with Personal Data Protection Commission’s regulations, PSA are to ensure that all flight related printout, documents or forms containing passenger(s)’ names and other information is not made accessible to public which may result to leakage of passenger’s personal data. These forms should be disposed into the document disposal waste bins (800 Super Waste) at designated operations offices

· Perform any other duties as assigned by his/her superiors.


Key Attributes:

· Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent

· Part-time / temp position available, with sales commission structure

· Able to work weekends and public holidays

· Customer Oriented and a good team player

· Comfortable with using computer

· Able to converse and write in English confidently

· Good people management skills

· Candidates with no experience in aviation industry but possess positive and resilient attitude are welcome to apply
