Metta Welfare Association – Youth Employment Support (YES)
Established in 2007, the Youth Employment Support (YES) program empowers graduates of Metta School with essential life skills to foster independence and social integration.

Our Programs:

  • Arts@Metta: Provides visual arts training for Metta School graduates with mild intellectual disabilities and/or autism, promoting independence and community inclusion.
  • Metta Café: Offers vocational F&B training to prepare graduates for employment in the hospitality industry.
  • ECO@Metta: Combines environmental sustainability with vocational training, engaging youths with special needs in creating eco-friendly products like multi-purpose orange enzyme cleaners from food waste.

Job Title: Part-Time ECO Officer/ ECO Program Facilitator

Hourly Rate: $12 - $20 (depending on experience)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate daily operations at ECO@Metta.
  • Mentor and guide youths with special needs to build vocational and life skills, fostering confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate on developing new eco-friendly products and manage product sourcing and retail activities.
  • Manage and promote ECO@Metta’s digital marketing initiatives, including social media and e-commerce platforms.
  • Assist in organizing CSR events and community engagement activities.
  • Maintain product quality standards and handle administrative tasks.
  • Support fundraising initiatives and other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with special needs children or youth (e.g., intellectual disabilities, ASD, or behavioral therapy).
  • Teachers or behavior therapists or trainers with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organization, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Background in product development, retail, or digital marketing is a plus.
  • A passion for empowering individuals with special needs through vocational training.
