Roles & Responsibilities

Legal Advisory & Compliance

  • Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Address legal inquiries from various business units, including business development, operations, and corporate functions, offering practical and solution-oriented guidance.
  • Manage and oversee relationships with external legal counsels and service providers, ensuring cost-effective legal support and compliance with budget planning.

Investment & Commercial Transactions

  • Support investment and corporate teams in structuring and executing M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investments across multiple sectors.
  • Participate in negotiations and provide legal insights on ad-hoc projects and commercial transactions.
  • Collaborate with external counsel to ensure legal matters align with business requirements and strategic goals.

Dispute Resolution & Risk Management

  • Partner with external legal teams to manage dispute resolution processes, including mediation, litigation, and arbitration.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks related to complex claims and lawsuits.
  • Provide guidance on settlement negotiations and trial preparations as necessary.

Corporate Governance & Compliance

  • Oversee corporate secretarial matters, including company incorporation, dissolution, and regulatory filings with relevant authorities.
  • Ensure proper documentation and governance procedures for board meetings, shareholder resolutions, and statutory filings.
  • Maintain statutory records for group entities in collaboration with external service providers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law from a recognized institution.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a corporate legal function, preferably in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Strong ability to provide practical business solutions and comprehensive legal counsel across various corporate functions.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with regional stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and solutions-driven approach.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
