We adopt aninterdisciplinary and multi-level approach, using a large paletteof cutting-edge techniques, ranging from working with in vivo mousemodels, to optical imaging of brain activity, to cellular andmolecular profiling. Our work is both fundamental andtranslational, and we aim to both advance fundamental understandingof brain functions as well as transforming new fundamental researchfindings into benefits for clinical application and the broaderpublic. The successful candidate will join our team to performhigh-quality cutting-edge research in experimental neuroscience,aligning with the overarching research strategy of theschool.

We are looking for a motivated researchassistant/associate to join our interdisciplinary team. As thesuccessful candidate, you will play a crucial role in advancing ourunderstanding of the brain. You will carry out independent researchwork, collaborate with other both within the team and beyond, andcommunicate our findings to the scientific community in aprofessional manner through academic meetings and publications. Youwill be exposed to cutting-edge neuroscience approaches, and be apart of our collaborative and multi-disciplined team. Together wewill learn, grow and make new discoveries of how the brain works.Come and join us.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Plan andexecute experiments towards the research objectives of theteam
  • Document and maintain accurate and timelyrecords of all work conducted
  • Data analysis andreporting
  • Contribute to formulating hypothesis,grant writing, publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentresearch findings at conferences, seminars, andmeetings
  • Participate in weekly labmeetings
  • Provide research support to other teammembers as required
  • Contribute to laboratorymaintenance, purchasing, and safetyduties
  • Contribute mentoring to more juniormembers of the team where required
  • Contributeto an open, transparent and collegial team culture, collaborateboth within the team as well as with externalcollaborators


JobRequirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master'sdegree in biological/biomedical sciences or related field(including veterinary sciences)
  • At least oneyear research experience in a wet-labenvironment
  • Good written and oral communicationskills
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability towork independently as well as in ateam
  • Meticulous, with attention todetails
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Ability to workcollaboratively in a fast-pacedenvironment
  • Prior research experience inneuroscience preferred
  • RCULA certificationpreferred
