Roles & Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Uphold the confidentiality, integrity, quality, technical, health and safety aspects of the company.
• Perform routine testing on incoming samples within stipulated holding time, requirement and protocol applicable to requested test
• Participate and pass any required proficiency test and interlaboratory analysis
• Assist in reviewing SOPs, should there be any updates
• Preparation of general laboratory work like media and perform housekeeping to maintain the cleanliness of the laboratory, equipment and apparatus
• Maintenance of small equipment such as balance & pH meter to ensure optimum performance
• Perform all required and tasked internal QC duties
• Convey difficulties and problems to the next level of hierarchy (Microbiologists or Senior Microbiologists)
• Extra tasks and jobs as required by Senior Microbiologists and/or Lab Manager

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Minimum Advanced/Specialist Diploma in Biological Sciences or Science-related fields
• At least 1-year relevant experience in laboratory, inclusive of internship
• Good communication skill, personality and teamwork oriented
• Dynamic and adaptable to change in schedule, operations and requirements at short notice
• Good command in English both written and spoken
