The School of Civil andEnvironmental Engineering (CEE), which is under the College ofEngineering, aspires to be a leading school for Sustainable UrbanSystems. Currently, it has over 40 faculty members and more than1,500 students, and is rapidly expanding its range of educationaland research activities. Its faculty has led major university-widestrategic research thrusts in space creation, water engineering andsustainable built environment. Going forward, CEE is addressing thecontinuous improvement in urban infrastructure such as buildingstructures and energy systems, sustainability of urban cities, andresiliency to climate risks.

To fuel furtherdevelopment, we invite applications for Assistant Professor(Tenure-Track) position in the areas of Coastal ProtectionEngineering.

Applicants would need tohave an earned PhD degree in in Civil Engineering, EnvironmentalEngineering, or a closely-related discipline, and with have stronginterdisciplinary expertise in the domains of coastalscience/engineering, environmental fluid mechanics, or hydraulicengineering as applicable to protection of coastal infrastructuresand/or ecosystems tapping into combinations of grey/greenapproaches. Previous strong academic credentials post PhD in theseabove areas will be highly preferred. Candidates should alsodemonstrate strong and relevant teaching ability and have excellentcommunication skills. In addition, candidates with experience inthe industry as well as qualifications to become a professionalengineer in Singapore will have anadvantage.
