Regional Business Manager, Acute Care, Emergency Care

This role is responsible for sales and marketing activities within the assigned franchise and territory. This position is responsible for driving new business and for developing and delivering high standards of customer service, both internally and externally and the development of sales & marketing capability across the business. A key element of this role is to add value to key customer relationships and leverage business opportunities across the range of products.
The position takes an overall view of business and manages corporate business responsibilities, strategic direction and ethical and legal standards for the business. All aspects of the role must be in compliance with company policy and procedures and the requirements of quality standards :
• Plan for and achieve sales, profit, market share and service targets.
• Manage and develop team to effectively deliver orders, sales, and operating income targets.
• Proactively monitor market dynamics and anticipate their possible influence on the portfolio, marketing plans and customer base
• Identify new product and marketing opportunities within the portfolio and make recommendations and lead teams to implement those plans
• Collaborate with other department to manage inventory, product life cycle and asset management in line with business objectives to drive competitive business advantage for Acute Care & Sage.
• Develop sales capabilities including improving business processes, sales management processes and driving effective programs.
• Accountable for profit and loss results for their respective product segments in East Asia.
• Build sales team by recruiting and developing outstanding talent and / or distributors.
• Market share and growth in alignment with set targets and the Corp strategy
• Align with corporate policy, legislation, and quality compliance to meet national and international standards.
• Operate within Stryker delegated authority levels.
• Comply with, and actively promote, the code of conduct. safe work practices & quality standards.
• Accurate forecasting and sales planning
• Support for systematic and professional product launches and recalls across territories
• Negotiate major deals and maintain key customer contacts at senior levels.
Uphold the Compliance Culture and philosophy of the Company by ensuring the business is kept abreast and aligned to the highest code of ethic not limited to ADVAMED.
• Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in a medical, scientific, or technical career or degree in sciences, economics, etc. MBA or Master’s an advantage.
• Med tech industry exposure is advantageous but not essential
• Knowledge/network within hospitals and/or experience working with agents and distributors an advantage
• Clinical background, sales experience, marketing or market research background an advantage
• Be responsible & accountable for delivering on commitments to the organisation
• Self-motivated with strong drive and able to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to sell and negotiate with dealers and hospital stakeholders; ability to lead by influence
• Strong inter-personal communication skills, presentation skills
• Great relationship building capability with high ethics & integrity
