Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Freelance Japanese Language Teacher to provide quality language instruction to students of various levels, from beginner to advanced. The ideal candidate will create engaging lesson plans, adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles, and foster a supportive learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Language Instruction:Teach Japanese language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
    Provide lessons tailored to individual or group needs.
    Incorporate cultural elements to enhance language learning.
  2. Lesson Planning:Develop customized lesson plans and materials to meet the students' goals (e.g., JLPT preparation, conversational Japanese, business Japanese).
    Use a variety of teaching techniques and tools, including online resources and multimedia.
  3. Assessment and Feedback:Assess students' progress regularly and adjust lessons accordingly.
    Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.
  4. Student Engagement:Foster a positive and interactive learning environment.
    Encourage consistent practice and provide resources for self-study.
  5. Administration:Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
    Communicate effectively with students regarding scheduling and course updates.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Language Proficiency:Native or near-native fluency in Japanese.
    Strong command of English for effective communication with non-native Japanese speakers.
  • Teaching Experience:Previous experience teaching Japanese as a foreign language is preferred.
    Familiarity with different teaching methods and learning tools (e.g., online platforms, language apps).
  • Certifications (Preferred):JLPT N1 or equivalent.
    Teaching certification, such as a Japanese Language Teacher Training Program or equivalent, is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    Patience, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
