Job Summary

To serve in the "Information & Solution Fulfillment" role by focusing on "Fast Expert" advice that makes our customers look good and keeps them out of trouble. CAD/BIM Specialist prepares engineering designs, drawings and related technical information, in multidisciplinary consultancy teams supporting engineers, architects and designers. Your job description as CAD Specialist may change depending on the nature of the position and duties. You agree that your job description shall include but not be limited to the following key duties and responsibilities:


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data
  • Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets
  • Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
  • Write technical reports and design custom-fabricated materials and components
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates
  • Provide technical orientation and training of staff on AutoCAD/BIM fundamentals
  • Manage and maintain the CAD/BIM model library of Crystal Components
  • Develop and maintain CAD/BIM models of typical families used in water feature design
  • Provide advice and direction on projects whereby CAD/BIM technologies are utilized
  • Collect and process various 2D documentation and 3D models for design coordination
  • Provide insight into new time saving methodologies
  • Participate in the automation of Process Flow Diagrams and Budgetary figures for water features using CAD
  • Participate in and maintain a documented engineering method
  • Coordinate with CAD & BIM service providers, subcontractors and clients
  • Develop and manage digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of places using BIM software.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to ensure BIM models accurately represent design intent.
  • Coordinate BIM models among multiple design disciplines to ensure compatibility and accuracy.
  • Perform clash detection and resolution in BIM models to avoid design and construction issues.
  • Establish and enforce BIM standards and procedures within the organization.
  • Provide training and support to team members and other stakeholders in the use of BIM software and methodology.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of BIM strategic planning.
  • Undertake such further and other duties as may be necessary and/or desirable to effectively carry out these duties and responsibilities
  • Adhere to the "Code of Business Conduct & Ethics"
