  • Focus on research excellence and strengthen research collaborations related to your field of research.
  • Assist in the securing of research funding or grants.Contribute to collaborative research between the Universities.
  • Contribute to general programme/departmental activities and development where applicable.
  • May have involvement in overseeing core research facilities and technology implementation/ improvement.
  • Provide quality supervision/teaching and mentoring of learners related to field of expertise.


Job Requirements

  • PhD or equivalent with a strong background and proven track record.
  • Research independence and leadership with demonstrated capacity to lead a productive research team.
  • Proven track record in obtaining competitive research funding and publications in high impact scientific journals.
  • Prior experience in translating research towards pre-clinical or commercial applications is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to mentor and train graduate students and postdoctoral research staff.
