We invite qualified andpassionate academics to apply for a tenure-track AssociateProfessor position in Artificial Intelligence. We seek individualswith exceptional promise for or a proven record of researchachievements within their chosen field of research. They shouldalso demonstrate strong ability for effective undergraduate andgraduate level teaching. Candidates must have vision and aninterest in defining the research frontier as well as educating ournext-generation of young leaders in this rapidly evolving field.Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to combinetheoretical knowledge with practical development of computationalsolutions and systems.

The position is open forcandidates working in all areas of computer science andengineering. However, we are particularly interested in candidatesworking at the frontiers of the following high priorityarea:
  • Data mining, network analysis,graph neural networks, graph mining, machine responsible AI, datascience for socialgood


Responsibilities:
  • Research:The appointee is responsible for conducting high-quality innovativeresearch, publishing top-tier papers, securing competitive researchgrants, and supervising researchpersonnel.
  • Teaching: The appointee is expectedto conduct competent undergraduate and graduate level teaching,including development of course materials, delivery of lectures andtutorials, grading assignments and exam papers, providing feedbackto students, and academic supervision of undergraduate and graduatestudent projects.
  • Service: The appointee isexpected to undertake responsibly assigned administrative servicesin the school and university, such as servicing on committees andmentoring students.


Requirements:
  • Youshould possess a PhD in related disciplines from a well-recognizeduniversity.
  • You have demonstrated exceptionalpromise for or a proven record of research achievements within thechosen field of research and strong ability for effectiveundergraduate and graduate level teaching
  • Youare able to lead and work as part of a multidisciplinaryteam
  • You are able tosupervise research staff and students through effectivecommunication
  • You should ideally possess strongpresentation skills
