Overview

The Wintel Engineer is responsible for providing SME support, which includes planning, installation and administration of Workplace Management. The responsibilities incorporate administration of Workplace environment; creating and updating company images; development of task sequences for OS deployments; reviewing procedures of daily operations and implementing new procedures to improve efficiency and adhering to best practices.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or its related field.
  • MCSE and VMWare Certifications preferred.
  • 5 - 8 years of working experience in System Administration is a must.
  • Ability to identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built and operated on AWS.
  • Abilityto provide AWS operations and deployment guidance and best practices throughout the lifecycle of a project.
  • Good experience with application / data migration to AWS.
  • Experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS.
  • Administration and troubleshooting skills of Windows Servers (such as Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012, Windows server 2003).
  • Ability to install Windows Servers.
  • Has good troubleshooting skills for Wintel systems
  • Knowledge in hardening and securing of Wintel systems.
  • Advanced skills level of Administration of Windows Server with active directory, DNS, DHCP and High Availability.
  • Good understanding of RAID, pros and cons of various RAID levels and decision making skills on the same in a given situation.
  • Ability in Microsoft cluster configuration, administration and troubleshooting.
  • Working experience with various storages, precisely for cluster configurations is good to have.
  • Working knowledge in SAN environment and storage space management from systems side is good to have.
  • Experience in File system and quota management.
  • Experience and knowledge on FTP and SFTP Client and Server Model.
  • Experience and knowledge in installing and implementing VMware ESX server, VMware virtual Center, setting up V-Motion, HA, DRS, and related VMware products such as VM Workstation, VMware converter VM Backup products and other products for virtualization would be advantages.
  • Understanding about the ITIL process.
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
