Role Overview

Calling all compassionate students Embark on a rewarding journey as a Community Outreach Intern at our children's charity. Work closely with our dedicated team to create and implement impactful initiatives that uplift the lives of children in need. Engage with local communities, organize events, and amplify our mission through social media. This hands-on internship offers a chance to develop essential communication and teamwork skills while making a real difference. This internship is part of NYC Youth Corps Community Internship.



Roles & Responsibilities

  • Recruiting new beneficiaries (community visits, calls)
  • Engaging beneficiaries (paid activities, registration renewals)
  • Activity Facilitator on days with activities
  • Preparing and executing activities
  • Cleaning up the centre & organising inventory
  • Student administration & customer service (managing attendance and post-activity feedback sheets, answering queries, resolving complaints)
  • Managing volunteers during activities (giving instructions, briefing & debriefing)


Requirements

  • Passionate about the education and social work industry
  • Comfortable speaking to families via calls and Whatsapp
  • Minimum commitment of 4-months
  • Workdays are Wednesday - Sunday, Off on Monday – Tuesday (non-negotiable)
  • Work hours are from 9:30am - 6:30pm
  • Est Start: March 2025 - August 2025
