Emergency Preparedness & Response

  • Ensure all diving personnel are familiar with the Fire Emergency Plan and their roles during emergencies.
  • Conduct emergency drills and ensure all divers understand emergency procedures, including diver recovery and first aid.
  • Maintain readiness of emergency equipment such as bailout systems, first aid kits, and diver retrieval systems.

Diving Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with SS 511:2018, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Regulations, and all relevant statutory requirements.
  • Verify that all dive operations comply with the approved diving project plan, risk assessment, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) system.
  • Ensure adherence to the Company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies and procedures.

Diving Operations & Equipment Management

  • Ensure diving equipment is maintained, inspected, and certified in accordance with SS 511 and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Supervise dive team members, ensuring they are fully competent in their assigned tasks and aware of associated risks.
  • Conduct routine pre-dive and post-dive checks to verify equipment integrity and operational readiness.

Incident Management & Reporting

  • Ensure all incidents, regardless of severity, are promptly reported and investigated, with corrective actions implemented.
  • Maintain accurate dive logs, checklists, and reports as per industry and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership & Communication

  • Provide clear instructions on safe work practices and ensure strict adherence to formal procedures, standing instructions, and safety standards.
  • Conduct safety briefings and toolbox meetings to raise hazard awareness within the team.
  • Identify and address housekeeping deficiencies, improper use of protective equipment, and potential workplace hazards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Commercial Dive Supervisor Certification recognized under SS 511:2018.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Dive Supervisor in commercial diving operations.
  • Must be medically fit and meet the health requirements for commercial diving operations.
  • Valid Diving First Aid Certification and Occupational First Aid & CPR/AED certification.
  • Familiarity with Diving Safety Management Systems (DSMS) and risk assessment processes.
  • Strong knowledge of diving physics, decompression procedures, and emergency response protocols.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
