Fitter Operator

Job Summary:

The Fitter Operator is responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing mechanical components and systems in a manufacturing environment. This role requires a solid understanding of engineering drawings, the ability to work with various tools and machinery, and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and fit components according to engineering specifications and drawings.Install mechanical systems and ensure proper alignment and operation.Perform routine checks to ensure all components are functioning correctly.Operate various machines and tools, including lathes, milling machines, and welding equipment.Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and output.Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.Identify and resolve any defects or issues during the manufacturing process.Maintain accurate records of production activities and inspectionsPerform regular maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as necessary.Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.Report any safety hazards or incidents to management promptly.Work closely with other team members and departments to achieve production goals.Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and improvements.  Job Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical fitting or related field is a plus.1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment as a fitter or similar role.Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.Willingness to work in various conditions, including noise and temperature variations.
