Main Duties and Responsiblities:

  • Prepare nutritious and delicious meals for children in the childcare centre.
  • Maintain inventory of food and supplies and report to the Centre Principal
  • Handle food in accordance with sanitary procedures and standard
  • Assist children when needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of classrooms and canteen
  • Empty diustbins (canteen and classrooms)
  • Washing of equipement (if needed)
  • Any other cleaning duties 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a childcare or similar setting.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices with Food hygiene certificate
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff
  • Creativity and flexibility in menu planning and meal preparation.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with children.
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation may be required
