(QTI) is a world leader in 3G, 4G, 5G and next-generation wireless technologies and a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies and products. In order to drive our next phase of growth in mobile, we are expanding the Product Development and Test Engineering group at Center of Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology (COMET) in Taiwan. The Product Development and Test Engineering group develops test solutions for design verification of highly integrated SoC chip for mobile application. We work with Design, System, Foundry, Program Management, Yield, Reliability, Marketing, Sales and Manufacturing teams to create, commercialize and support QTIs products.
Major Responsibilities: Job responsibilities for the position include designing and debugging of test interface HW (loadboard), test SW (test program) development, new ATE methodology deveopment, HW/SW integration, characterization plan development, first silicon debug, process experiment (split) definition, multiple-source fab matching, device characterization, data analysis, product documentation/presentation, test limit (guardband) generation; driving failure analysis to completion, yield variance control. The job scope also requires the engineer to drive for short term and long term test time reduction and yield improvement to meet set goals without compromising production quality for multiple projects in parallel.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. At least 5 year experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong working ATE knowledge (Teradyne Uflex/Uflex+ ATE is preferred). Have capability to drive ATE vendor for improvements and new methodology development.
  • Experience in developing ATE SOC program from NPI stage to volume ramp stage and driving yield and test time reduction.
  • Solid understanding in semiconductor Functional/Structural testing and good understanding of eletronics engineering fundamental. Basic knowledge on CPU, DSP, GPU will be a plus.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with statistical analysis software package and techniques, quality and reliability testing.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process. Wafer fabrication fundamentals are a plus.
  • Experience in using collaboration tools such as GIT, SVN and JIRA.
  • Strong software skills (Java, C/C++, Visual Basic, Perl, Python etc.) for programming and debugging test codes.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills. Able to organize effectively and document work thoroughly while working with local and remote teams. Experience with presenting product and test data driven decisions to management to drive actions.
