Singapore Hudson River Trading Full time

As an Algo Web Engineer at Hudson River Trading, you will work on a team that focuses on human interaction with automated and manual trading. You will build UIs and backend processes to support our Algo Developers (ADs) and Traders in overseeing processes, executing manual trades, understanding risk, and researching improvements to our strategies. This is impactful work; many of the UIs are critical to executing trades or to understanding the complex strategies being deployed at the scale of HRT, with vast quantities of the world's market and financial data. As an Algo Web Engineer, you will contribute significantly to our trading infrastructure as a whole.In this role, you will be involved in all stages of software development and across the full stack at HRT. You will work very closely with ADs, Core Engineers, Operations, and others to gather requirements and decide what tools will most impact our trading. You will have the opportunity to generate your own ideas about new features or products, and own the implementation of significant pieces of our infrastructure. You will get to see how your products are used daily in our trading strategies, and ultimately the impact they will have on HRT's success.Algo Web Engineers work across a variety of technologies from building Web Applications in Typescript with React and Redux, spinning up dashboards with python's Dash Plotly, to writing backend services in Python or C++.SkillsSolid backend coding practices, building well-tested, reliable systemsExcellent coding, debugging, and problem solving skillsStrong Computer Science fundamentalsWorking knowledge of UNIX operating systemsExperience with Typescript/React/Redux is a plusExperience with Python and/or C++ is a plusProfileYou possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldYou have minimum 1 year of full-time (or 2 summer internships) professional experience as a full-stack developerYou have a passion for UX and building human-focused technological solutionsYou possess a willingness to learn and grow as an engineerYou really like to work with people who challenge you and make you better at what you do#LI-SU1
