Placement Executive, Mercer Marsh Benefits

What can you expect?

  • We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Placement Executive to join our team.
  • As a Placement Executive, you will be responsible for assessing insurance risk expertise and industry knowledge to propose placement solutions that meet client needs.
  • You will need to align with the Placement strategy to achieve growth goals and provide exceptional client solutions.
  • Additionally, documenting all activities to ensure timely follow-up by clients, carriers, and the client relationship teams will be crucial.

We will count on you to:

  • Assess insurance risk expertise and acquire industry knowledge to develop appropriate placement solutions that align with client needs.
  • Align Placement strategy to achieve growth goals and deliver exceptional client solutions.
  • Thoroughly document all activities to ensure timely follow-up by clients, carriers, and the client team.
  • Assist in the management of submitting insurance coverage specifications and obtain quotes from carriers.
  • Establish and improve relationships with carriers, underwriters, and the client relationship teams to provide cohesive client service.
  • Stay informed about changing insurance and risk management market conditions and share insights with client executives, client advisors, and/or clients.
  • Run analytics and evaluate clients' insurance programs to identify areas of improvement and value-added solutions to serve their needs.
  • Cultivate a thorough understanding of insurance markets to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in insurance risk assessment, insurance placement solutions, or related roles within the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, carriers, and underwriting practices.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, carriers, and the client relationship teams.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and convey relevant information to clients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in using insurance-specific software systems and MS Office applications.
