Purpose Statement

This is a customer-oriented role, responsible for regional technical support to capital equipment within Boston Scientific portfolio. The Regional Technical Service Engineer is the subject matter expert in the products assigned to the individual and provide training and technical solution to BSC’s service network. The individual would have keen interest in the area of service delivery/ process improvement.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Main point of contact between countries and global engineering team for product lifecycle supports includes New Product Introduction, End of Service, Field Actions, NCEP, CAPA, technical escalation
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers on all assigned BSC's capital equipment and third-party capital equipment distributed by BSC. This may include on-site supports as and when local support is required
  • Train Field Service Engineers and distributors networks and disseminate best practice sharing to reach competency level requirement
  • Analyze performance of BSC capital equipment and service process, and to recommend improvement plan to APAC CETS Leadership team
  • Reporting all service activities in approved Service Management Systems and meet key performance indicators
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction on BSC equipment performance and services
  • Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific
  • Manage regional service tools and documentation system

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical, Electronic, Electrical or in a related Engineering field 
  • 3 or more years working experience in field service. Experience in regional support is an advantage
  • Experience with BSC medical equipment or similar products is an advantage
  • Working knowledge on Lean Methodology or other Continuous Improvement methodology
  • Good computer knowledge with MS Office, especially MS Excel
  • Good communication skills, customer oriented, independent and self-motivated
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English, with an added advantage of fluency in another Asian language. This linguistic capability is particularly valuable in the context of supporting the APAC markets
  • Willing to travel extensively and cover other local markets on short notice
  • Candidate must be physically fit to replace components of up to 20kg
