Job brief
We are looking for Sous Chef/ Junior Sous Chef who will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations. This includes, but is not limited to, food purchasing, receiving, preparation, and upholding quality standards, safety protocols, sanitation, and cleanliness.
Additionally, Sous Chef/ Junior Sous Chef will be accountable for training employees in areas related to purchasing, receiving, food preparation, and maintaining quality standards, safety measures, sanitation practices, and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Supervision and training kitchen staff, ensuring consistent quality and efficient kitchen operations
- Oversee preparation and cooking of meals ensuring dishes are cooked accordingly and served in timely manner
- Maintaining food quality and service standards
- Oversee ordering and purchasing of kitchen supplies to ensure adequate stock levels and cost efficiency
- Ensuring all operation adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining clean and organised kitchen environment
Requirements and skills
- Proven restaurant experience is a plus
- Knowledgeable, Proactive in sharing feedback, willing to share ideas, Open-minded
- Attention to cleanliness and safety,
- Patience and customer-oriented approach
- Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
